Rooftop Angel (English Fiction by Irene Putri)

As if I was reborn as a child who doesn't know anything
I thought it was a dream so I closed my eyes and opened them again

The taller boy standing out of the crowd on the place full of life; he wondered why then; he wasn’t feeling any motion. Again, he took a glance to a girl whose been sat at the rooftop of the building; tilting her head gave her attention fully to the blue sky.
Feels like having a déja-vu, the taller boy closed his eyes tight, feeling the fresh-cold air grazed his porcelain skin. Without his recognize, he walked straight to the building where he saw the girl at the rooftop of that building. He just stood still in front of the building, not having intention to go in and approached the girl.

Meanwhile, the girl also felt like she's having déja-vu. She walked to the outside building and saw the taller boy stood in front of the building, the boy shut his eyes tightly; The girl widened her eyes, rubbed her eyes and then wide-smile acrossed her face. She ran towards the boy and hugged the boy tightly; clung onto his neck and placed her head onto his shoulder.

 I am standing in front of you as if I was praying

The girl loosened and broke her hug then she had a look at the taller boy, watched every single part of the boy's face in front of her. Watched his big doe eyes matched perfectly with his big nose and his plump lips, the same face as her boyfriend. Her heart praying that she's not mistaken. This is him; her boyfriend came back to her.

"Chanyeol-ah, you come back. I believe you will..thanks for coming back."

The taller boy frowned and looked at her closely. How could she said that I'm..her boyfriend? Even my name..she knew?

 I want to walk side by side with you at least once Just once

"Excuse me, Miss..I'm not your boyfriend, I don't remember that I've known you before, you must be mistaken me for someone else"

The deep voice of him made she wanna hugged him again tightly; the voice..that deep voice just belong to him, her boyfriend. Without him knowing of course that words hurt her a lot, the scar her boyfriend's left deep inside her heart hadn't healed yet and she still thought that the boy who stood in front of her was her boyfriend.
"But..you're exactly look alike my boyfriend" she said, holding on her tears that even with one blink, they must be rolled down on her cheeks.
"Then..let me know you then? I'm..Eun ho, you?"
"Yeol..that's what they said".
Her heartbeat fastened as she heard the boy said that. She hoped, really not a little hope but big hope that 'Yeol' really is her boyfriend. Even his nickname is the same.
"Who's they?"
"Everybody..The one who found me and others.."
"Why were you lost?"
"I don't know..I just thought that I forgot many things that I shouldn't be forgot"
The girl bit her lips, she thought that maybe..he got amnesia. He's forgetting his past.
"Then..wanna have a walk?"

I ride the soft wind into your world 

Chanyeol walked side by side with Eun ho. Sometimes, he looked at Eun ho and when their glances met, Eun ho looked away.
He felt comfortable around her though they walked and both said nothing. Stealing glances of the girl by his side that seemed to be in his own world all the time. A moment ago, the girl shouted happily told that he was her boyfriend and even knew his name, now she's so silent. The raven haired-boy thought that the girl was not bad; she must be a kind-hearted also loyal person. Though he didn't admit it, he enjoyed it much; enjoyed walks side by side with the same pace as her; he didn't know why but he wanted to find out what the girl was thinking.

I go right next to you and you ask where I came from 

"Where are you from?".
The question Eun ho asked make their glances met again.
"I don't know, just some people told me that I must be Korean. My mind told me to go to Seoul; something inside my heart tell me that someone was looking for me.."

You asked so innocently so I answered that it is a secret

"Where'd that 'they' from? You always said, 'they' and 'some people' or 'everybody'? Where were do you from exactly? I mean before you decided to go to Seoul.." Eun ho asked curiously but sounds so innocent and cute in Chanyeol's ears.
"It's a secret though, why you wanted to know so much?"
Chanyeol can't helped but giggle at the innocent question that she told to him. He have felt that he wanna spent so much his time with this girl.

Because if we just walk together like this
Wherever we go, it'll be heaven.

It feels so right for him; like nostalgic, walked side by side like this. A little weight inside his heart melted to the air as he walked with the same pace as her, like this. Weirdly, he's not feeling tired at all. He let his steps going wherever they wanted to go.

You are more dazzling than Michael

The girl in anytime just stealing glances to the boy. How she felt mixture emotion inside her. Sad; feels like she couldn't reach the boy though the boy just beside her. There's light sorrounding his body, just things like that; makes her couldn't reach the boy's mind.

Who can ever oppose you? I won't forgive anyone who does

The boy sighed then he took a glance as now he sat at the rooftop of the same building he glanced a while ago. The girl lived here, there's a small room at the rooftop.
"I have juices and water, which one do you like?"
"Just anything fresh..I'd like to if you have some food too; I'm..hungry?" said Chanyeol while rubbing his tummy.
"I have sandwhiches; wait for a while..".

"Miss! Miss! You must be at home!" an old lady shouted and he surprised the handsome boy appeared before her eyes.
"Excuse me, is there..uhm.. a..any girl here? The..the girl w-ho lives at this rooftop?" asked the old lady, stuttering her words immersed by the taller boy's looks.
"Pardon? She's..uhm inside, what kind of problem do you have with her?".

Eun ho just widened her eyes when he looked the old landlord-lady coming by and talked to Chanyeol.
"Ahjumoni, I'm..I'm sorry, I can't pay the rent now..I'm..I.."
Before Eun ho could explain more, the old lady slapped her. Chanyeol widened his doe eyes and just stood still while looking at the incident.
"I give you one week to repay, if in one week you still could't pay it, just leave from here"
Eun ho slid down to the floor like a jelly and before she could fall to the floor, Chanyeol hold her tight in her arms, supporting her body to not fall. Eun ho just looked at him with her weak smile, before she looked away, Chanyeol brought her into his embrace.
She surprised but she didn't struggle, let her be comforted into his embrace. It feels so warm; like how she used to be when she's in her boyfriend's embrace. Her body react the same to Chanyeol's embrace, She held onto his arms in other to let him support her. She broke her sobs and Chanyeol react the same way as her boyfriend used to be.
Change their position into a comfortable embrace and he patted her back, caressed her hair slowly and whispered comforted words. It just feels right; she was sure that Chanyeol is Park Chanyeol, her boyfriend that left her without words years ago.

Meanwhile Chanyeol, he didn't know his body would react that way. He just let his body react the way his mind wouldn't thinking that. The only thing he felt was how nice it felt to hug her. To comforted her by his way; he remembered that he couldn’t recall a physical contact with another human being before; but hugged Eun ho was so natural. His body reacted like he was have hugged someone. Time stopped for him; his heart suddenly start beating so fast, after just a few hours of knowing and a few months recognizing the presence of the other; he didn't know why, feels like the closed empty space inside him opened up.
Chanyeol finally reached her cheeks with his slender hands, his suddenly fastened heartbeat didn't stop him to caress it slowly and wiped the tears that stained her cheeks. He made it; looked at her eyes so close.
"I won't leave you; I'll be here.."

Just like the first person to step on Eden Every day, I will only go toward you and trust you with my heart 

Like she's being charmed, she looked at his big doe eyes. She let his hands caressed her cheeks and wiped away her tears. "I won't leave you; I'll be here.." The fastened heartbeat she felt that gone for years, comeback again; with the person she thought the same; makes her heartbeat fastened again just for the words he said to her. She looked right into his big doe eyes; worries all over his eyes made her formed a smile and murmured, "Thanks for being in my side".

Even if it's a small thing, I want to protect you for always So you won't ever have to suffer I'm eternally love

There was an unknown feeling inside his body that made his heartbeat couldn't stop fastened. Why suddenly he had thought that he have to protect her? Why suddenly he had the urge to protect the figure in front of him? Within short time, he guessed what happened to him was he fell in love with the small figure in front of him.

As your guardian angel, I will block out that strong wind
Even if everyone turns their back against you
On hard days, I will wipe away your tears
If only I can be that kind if person
Wherever we go, it'll be heaven

I have come to love you now
There's no place for me to go back
My wings have been taken away (oh no)
Even if I lost eternal life, the reason why I'm happy
Is because my forever is now you
Eternally love

Everyday being in Eun ho's side makes Chanyeol realize something that lost in his life was her. Chanyeol already come to fall a deep in love with her. There's no way to turn back his feelings.
Also memories little by little came back to him. A blur one but they came out strong whenever he was around Eun ho. "It's alright, don't try too hard; your body could wait patiently..so do I" said Eun ho with her comforted words, squeezed his hand while showing her angelic smile to him that makes Chanyeol became addicting being around Eun ho.

I ride the soft wind into your world 

"It was you Eun ho..someone I was forgotten. It was you.." said him while put his palms on his head.
"So..you're my boyfriend, Yeol? Isn't that what you were talking about?" asked her, she believed there were butterflies fly inside her stomach.
"Uhm, is that why I came to you..my heart recognizing you first, there's so many thing I passed it" Chanyeol said while he brought her close and embraced her tightly.
“It's alright, Yeol. We can learn and start again all those things together” Eun ho said and felt how Chanyeol’s warmth going out and covering their body in a comfortable way.

There's a comfortable silent sorrounding them until Chanyeol broke it with expected ending to their relationship.

“We still have plenty of time, we're gonna staying together like this forever..” He said as he opened his eyes and broke their hug. He pulled himself closer to her and for a while looking at Eun ho’s beautiful eyes directly before placing a soft kiss on Eun ho's lips.
Both feels a full warmth sorrounded them as they shared kiss. Minutes passed and they broke the kiss. Chanyeol brought her body into his warmth embrace.
It feels right; as him coming back to home.

Because if we just walk together like this
Wherever we go, it'll be heaven.
